Brittany Kugler was the Hamilton East Public Library’s Ignite Makerspace Maker in Residence September-November 2019. The Ignite Makerspace is a creativity lab with all manner of kits and machines (including sewing machines and sergers). She taught classes to all ages and worked in the space. Kugler taught staff how to use the machines and advised the staff on ways to better support the sewing related machines in the future. She also created a display with reviews on items she made from the contemporary sewing pattern book Lotta Jansdotter’s Everyday Style and made similar book recommendations.
